About Paul Edward Photography

I'm a photographer based in the UK and have been professional since 2006. Although I photograph everything from fine art to commercial photography, I specialise in portrait and inparticular wedding photography. I prefer to use natural light as much as possible as I find this helps me document the day as it unfolds and draws as little attention to me as possible. Having said that, I still make time during the day to take portraits of the couple and take a few group shots. In this age of digital imagery, I believe it's as important as it ever has been to get your photos printed and put into an album in order to really view them as they should be seen so I have spent a lot of time researching the highest quality albums in the world and design beautiful books from Loxley Colour in Scotland. I'm also a qualified Master Photographer with the MPA.

Classic Portraits

I’m preparing a classic monochrome portrait offer at the moment. The idea is that you get a portrait session in your own home with options to purchase framed prints (hand made locally by the fantastic A-Frame in Brighton). It’s fairly … Continue reading

More interiors

Continuing my training in architectural and interior photography, this morning I took photos of a recently opened coffee house in Hove called Ground. Tripod, long shutter speeds (several seconds), small apertures (f/20 – f/22 mostly) for maximum depth of field … Continue reading

Interior Photography

I’m currently really interested in architectural and interiors photography so I asked Tina who owns the lovely Medicine Chest Bar and Restaurant in Hove if I could take some photos of it. I must also mention that it was designed … Continue reading

Your Sussex Wedding – Real Weddings

Another lovely couple – Sarah and Alan – have been featured in Your Sussex Wedding magazine’s ‘Real Weddings’ section along with my photos this month. I don’t think photos seem to look very good in magazine print, but maybe I’m being fussy! … Continue reading

Recent Weddings

It’s been a long time since my last post, so apologies if you’ve been waiting anxiously for more of my musings (I wish…)! I spent some time in Cannes competing in a triathlon and then returned to cover three weddings … Continue reading
